College of DuPage seeks to hire one full-time faculty member to teach courses in the Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program starting in August, 2020.

We seek an experienced CNA instructor who enjoys teaching, collaborating with colleagues, and recognizes diversity and inclusion as core values of nursing and healthcare. The faculty will provide direct instruction to students according to the curriculum designed to assist students to pass the Illinois Nurse Assistant Certificate Exam. The CNATP utilizes a competency-based curriculum and offers 8-week and 16-week courses in fall, spring, and summer.

Teaching assignments may include various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats during days, evenings and weekends.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing minimum; Master’s degree preferred. A current active, unencumbered Illinois RN license required. Minimum 2 years nursing practice required. Current certification approved by IDPH to teach the CNA training course. Current BLS CPR certification required. One year of work experience as a CNA instructor preferred. Ability to pass an annual drug screen and background check required.
